Teams compete against each other for gold, silver and bronze awards in this simplified version of the Olympic games. The data collected can be used back in class for a variety of maths related lessons based on data collection. Includes activity sheet.
Learning Objectives
History: The legacy of Greek or Roman culture (art, architecture or literature) on later periods in British history, including the present day.
P.E.: Use running, jumping, throwing and catching in isolation and in combination.
Maths: Solve comparison, sum and difference problems using information presented in a line graph. Complete, read and interpret information in tables.
Resources: 4 x activity sheet, clip boards and pens x4, 1 frisbee, 1 foam javelin (if not a straight stick will do, but ensure safety of throwing area and only ever use 1 stick), stopwatch, measuring wheels or meter rules x 3.
