A Grow to School favourite. Children work together to deconstruct then reconstruct flowers. An activity that is great across key stages and the results are always beautiful.
Learning Objectives
Science: Identify and describe the different parts of plants.
Recording findings using simple scientific language, drawings and labelled diagrams.
Resources: Bunches of spent flowers (ask parents or staff to bring in old bunches) or collection of flowers from school grounds, roots of common weeds (EYFS), trowels (KS1 and 2), laminate labels, white board pens, shower curtain sheets, containers to put each part of plant into.
