Description
One of our oldest and most popular sessions. Children create a working model of the digestive system from chewing bread to producing poo! A memorable and yucky experience that includes loads of learning.
Learning Objectives
Science: Describe the ways in which nutrients and water are transported within animals including humans.
Describe the simple functions of the basic parts of the digestive system in humans.
Resources: One pair of nylon tights cut into four lengths with a knot tied at the end, 4 socks, 4 freezer bags – zip lock or sticking, 4 bowls, 4 funnels, 4 fingers cut off a pair of rubber gloves with the tips cut off, scissors, a cup of water, brown vinegar, access to stones, a loaf of brown bread, access to 4 tables is ideal.
