Description
Teams use magnets to see if they can find any real meteorite rocks around the school grounds. We always have a good haul, although whether or not they are meteorites is hard to say!
Learning Objectives
Science: To understand how gravitational pull attracts space debris to earth.
To learn that meteorite rocks are dense, molten and magnetic rock.
Identify magnetic materials.
Resources: Magnets (enough for 1 each) and petri dishes x 4.
